David Gamble, AIA AICP LEED AP
David is a Principal of Gamble Associates. He received a Bachelor’s of Architecture Degree from Kent State University and a Master’s of Architecture in Urban Design, with distinction, from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design (GSD). He is a registered architect and certified urban planner, and has spent the past twenty four years working in urban settings and within the context of public engagement. David is the former co-chair of the Boston Society of Architect’s (BSA) Urban Design Committee and has served on the boards of the BSA and Architecture Boston. He is Past President of the Community-Design Resource Center-Boston and established the Syracuse University Community Design Center as Assistant Professor. Prior to starting his own practice in 2009, he was a Senior Associate at Chan Krieger Sieniewicz. Additional work experience was at the firm of Krier&Kohl in Berlin, Germany and vanMerkestyn & Partners in Zurich, Switzerland. Since 2009, David has been a Lecturer in the Department of Urban Planning and Design at the GSD. He is a receipient of the AIA’s National Young Architects Award and the Gabriel Prize. He recently published “Rebuilding the American City” with co-author Patty Heyda (Washington University) which was published by Routledge Press.
